APPLE ACQUIRES INDOOR MAPPING FIRM – WiFiSLAM





This news is indicating about, Apple is getting more power at the Smartphone Mapping service. Apple has confirmed the acquisition of Indoor Mapping company WiFiSlam. This acquisition is indicating about the Apple’s new mapping service that  find ways in indoor places. WiFiSlam  company was a startup that came to fruition about two years ago with the help of one of its co-founders, ex-Google software engineer intern, Joseph Huang. Before it was acquired by Apple, the company helped app developers add indoor mapping features to their retail and social networking apps.
 If Apple is acquiring this company, that will be an Amazing step to introduce Indoor mapping services by Apple. A report is  stated that Apple acquired  the small establish for $20 million. The news was later inveterate by an Apple spokesman who said that Apple “buys smaller technology companies from time to time.” Google has already jumped into the indoor-mapping game and it currently offers indoor mapping services in several locations, such as major airports, hypermarkets, Football Grounds, sports centres.. Etc..
If Apple is introducing this service for iPhone users that will provide a great utility application for iPhone users. And this will also affect the sale of Apple products.
