THE LAST SYMBIAN PHONE FROM NOKIA

Yes, Nokia 808 Pure View will be the last Symbian Phone from Nokia. Due to high competition from IOS, Android, and windows OS, Nokia is forced to apply new Mobile Operating systems for their Smartphones. Symbian is the much loved operating system for Nokia handsets, it has been the backbone of Nokia Corporation since 1990. Nokia had previously said that "Q4 2012 was 'the last meaningful quarter for Symbian'", and this week it confirmed that "The Nokia 808 PureView, a device which showcases our imaging capabilities and which came to market in mid-2012, was the last Symbian device from Nokia."
The explosion of Android Smartphones is the main factor that played against Symbian Operating systems. Because of that Nokia is applying Windows and Android for their latest Smartphones, to compete with Samsung and other players.

Once the Symbian Operating system was the magnum opus for Nokia handsets, In the late 1990s Psion Software united forces with Nokia, Motorola and Ericsson create Symbian from its EPOC OS. Symbian made numerous products - S60 for Nokia, UIQ for Sony Ericsson - and until the  success of IOS and Android, it motorized some of the tastiest handsets the world had ever seen.

The lack of innovative latest versions from Symbian is the main factor that affected the growth of the Android Operating system in the present market. And the growth of iPhone Smartphones and IOS also affected the decline of Symbian Smartphones.
In the present condition Nokia is searching for recovery in the Smartphone market, so they are forced to apply new changes to their Smartphones.
