The Format of an IP Address

format of an IP address is a 32-bit numeric address written as four
numbers separated by periods. Each number should be in between 0 to 255.
For example, 1.170.10.210 could be an IP address.

unique. However, connecting a private network to the Internet requires
using registered IP addresses (called Internet addresses) to avoid
duplicates and used as an identifier.

IP address can be static or dynamic IP address. A static IP address is a
permanent Internet address. The another one, a dynamic IP address is a
temporary address that is assigned to each and every access to the
internet. The 4 numbers in an IP address are used in various ways to
identify a particular network and a host on that network. Four regional
Internet registries are ARIN, RIPE NCC, LACNIC and APNIC, and then
assign Internet addresses based on following three classes:
Class A: It supports 16 million hosts on each of 126 networks
Class B: It supports 65,000 hosts on each of 16000 networks
Class C: It supports 254 hosts on each of 2 million networks
How to find IP Address.?
Step 1. As the first step to find out IP Address, Log into Windows account by using your password.
Step 2. In your second step go to start and type “cmd” in search box. Press enter.
Step 3. Type “ipconfig” and press Enter/OK command. You can explore your IP Address here.
Windows >>>> Start >>>> cmd >>>> ipconfig
Step 4. Type “netstat-a” and press OK. This will populate all of your TCP/IP connections and IP Address.
