Samsung released their budget segment mobile
handsets under REX series, it is priced in between 4000 to 6500. The Korean
Smartphone giant aiming to compete with Nokia Asha series, with the release of
this Samsung Phone series. These java-based phones includes, REX 60, REX 70,
REX 80 and REX 90. These phones are developed in India and it would be launched
in numerous growing markets globally starting from India. These handsets have
TouchScreen interface with 8 homescreens Bluetooth and and a few of these also
have WiFi support.
Samsung is targeting for middle segment
customers with the release of this mobile handset, "We are targeting users
who are looking for social networking, games and surfing the Internet on phones
in affordable price range," Samsung Vice President Asim Warsi told
reporters. This release is hidden plan from Korean giant to compete against
Nokia Asha, series. In a duration of just 12 months, Nokia has launched 12 Asha
handsets in India in the range of Rs 3,500-8,500. So Samsung also concentrates
to this segment by the release of this smart phone series.
